After eight months spent in New York, the actor had been declared free of cancer, in May. He used social media to write an emotional note. "Today, I am finishing eight months here in New York. When will I come home? He writes. He has received several answers from fans and friends of the industry. A friend wrote to Rishi: "Do not worry! That too will pbad ….. "with a heart emoji. A fan page of his son, Ranbir Kapoor, responded to his tweet: "Stay strong, sir, do not wait to enjoy your routine and your healthy lifestyle."
While his wife, Neetu Kapoor, was stationed in New York, by Rishi's Côté, his son Ranbir and Ranbir's girlfriend, Alia Bhatt, visited him frequently. During his stay in the United States, actors such as Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Sonali Bender, Vicky Kaushal, Karan Johar and many others also visited him.
