Dia Mirza makes his digital debut with the Kaafir of ZEE 5.

One of the stories that finds its way onto the screens is India-Pakistan narrative. This makes sense since both countries share a delicate past. However, stories that involve both nations in any way are often not woven in the best way. Fortunately, Kaafir is not in this category.

The Web series directed by Sonam Nair is supported by a credible script written by Bhavini Iyer. Mohit Raina is Vedant, a lawyer turned journalist who risks a beautiful day filming a girl called Sehar. His boss asked him to make a story of "human interest" with an emotional angle; Vedant thinks that it is better to pursue the child and discover his story. He then discovers that Sehar's mother, Kainaaz, is being held in jail for seven years because she is suspected of being a Pakistani activist. However, nothing seems to be what seems, as Vedant later discovers through a series of interviews conducted with Kainaaz of Dia Mirza.

The pilot of the ZEE5 show successfully built Vedant's narrative and background, including his post change and the death of his brother who was a decorated military man. Mohit Raina, who was last seen in the successful military drama Uri: The Surgical Strike, gives a realistic and consistent performance.

Dia Mirza, on the other hand, is not only breathtaking like Kainaaz, but manages to make her feel felt in the short time that she occupies on screen during the first two episodes .

Some scenes here and there could have been cut to make the episodes clearer. But until now, everything is fine.

Kaafir is currently broadcasting on ZEE5.
