The drowning victim at Wasaga Beach had just been married and had a bright future: the boss

A 25-year-old man from Brampton, who accidentally drowned in Wasaga Beach on Canada Day, is mourning on the other side of the globe.

The West Huronia Provincial Police stated that the name of the victim was Rupesh Narula. Rupesh worked as a warehouse manager for OEM Fleets Ltd. in Brampton Sunny Malhotra, owner of the company described Rupesh as responsible, empathic and reliable. Malhotra said:

"It is certainly a loss to anyone that he has ever met," Malhotra said. Two months ago in India, his wife came to Canada and was going to visit him soon.

"He was very happy to be married, he was very happy with the girl he was with," Malhotra said . "He had plans for her to come here and visit him."

Rupesh was saving money to buy a nice car for him and his wife.

Kayakers spotted the man within 20 minutes of the call and took him partly to the shore aboard a watercraft. firefighters brought the water man and performed CPR with paramedics.

He was transported by ambulance to the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, where he was declared dead.
