Bigil: Vijay becomes the singer of the song of AR Rahman, Verithanam

The creators of Bigil announced Monday that Vijay had sung a song composed by the Oscar winner, AR Rahman.

This is the first time that Vijay has become a singer for an AR Rahman song, although the duo have worked together in several films of the film. past. The song titled "Verithanam" is written by the popular lyricist Vivek.

The Bigil production continues as planned by the makers the film will open in cinemas this Diwali .

Bigil is touted as the most expensive film of Vijay's career. According to some sources, the film would cost Rupees 150 crores to its producers.

The first posters revealing the hard-hitting title were published last month, on the occasion of Vijay's 45th birthday. The posters show the actor in two distinct avatars, leaving many people guessing whether Vijay is playing a dual role in Bigil.

Designed as a sports drama, Bigil is the third collaboration between Vijay and Atlee after blockbusters like Theri and Mersal. The film should be a light artist, compared to previous releases of the actors / directors duo.

Nayanthara plays the lead role in Bigil, also performed by Bollywood actor, Jackie Shroff. Actors like Kathir, Vivek, Varsha Bolamma, Indhuja, Kathir, Yogi Babu and Soundara Raja are part of the support cast.
