Prince Harry and Meghan Markle chose a different parenting style for their son, Archie Harrison. The couple decided to drop the "Prince" from his name and make his life a normal life.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle break with royal traditions regarding baby Archie Harrison. For starters, they decided to say goodbye to Archie's "Prince" etiquette. The Duke and Duchess also used the Archie baby's education in a close and normal family environment, rather than in the traditional lifestyle of the royal family. All the more so that the couple even chose to let Archie baptize a private affair. This decision was received with a mixed reaction from the royal fans. It has been reported that Queen Elizabeth II agreed with this.
However, Harry's brother, Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, are not very happy with the decision of Harry and Meghan. A source told Us Weekly that the queen "accepted Harry's and Meghan's decision to keep the event private." But William and Kate "were not happy". Baptisms were a public affair among the royal family. The paparazzi were invited to capture Prince George, Princess Charlotte and more recently the baptisms of Prince Louis.
However, Meghan and Harry decide to keep the paps away. The report further indicates that William is not satisfied with the parenting style of Meghan and Harry. "William thinks his brother is going to the sea keeping Archie out of the spotlight," said the source, adding that the Duke of Cambridge "blames Meghan" for this. Regardless of their point of view, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were seen attending Archie's baptism. They joined Prince Charles, Camilla, the sisters of Princess Diana and Meghan's mother, Doria, at the event. The queen was unable to attend the event because she had already made commitments. Prince Philip has barely gone out since his retirement.
