The fashion industry pays tribute to Karl Lagerfeld & nbsp
The death of Karl Lagerfeld on February 19 left a void in the fashion industry. After Coco Chanel, the fashion industry owes a lot to Karl Lagerfeld for changing the way we look at fashion today. While the fashion industry unites to mourn the death of the fashion icon, the brand has organized its first fashion show since his death and his subtle but glamorous fashion choices are to be seen.
The brand creates a beautiful German Alpine village which is Karl Lagerfeld's home country. His latest collection with Chanel was as big, chic and crafty as you can imagine.
The cream of the crop of the fashion industry was at the rendezvous of the autumn-winter 2019 show. The show saw Anna Wintour, Naomi Campbell, Monica Bellucci, Claudia Schiffer and Kristen Stewart stand up for a minute of silence for the icon followed by a voice that echoed through the place where he shared his early memories of his era with the brand. The beautiful black-and-white collection was designed in collaboration with Virginie Viard, successor of Karl, right hand of the icon for 30 years and director of Chanel's Fashion Creation Studio.
Harper's Bazaar said, "The guests were each greeted with a tribute to the influential visionary Lagerfeld. An illustrated version of the designer, dressed in his ponytail, sunglbades and suit, accompanied by Coco Chanel wearing a tweed suit and a hat, appeared next to the words "The rhythm continues"
While Karl left us a legacy, stay tuned for any updates.
