A flexible device measures the level of oxygen in the blood of any part of the body

Traditional oximeters use LEDs to pbad red and near-infrared light through the skin on one side of a translucent part of the body, usually the fingertips or earlobe. The lighter-colored oxygen-rich blood absorbs much of the infrared light, while the oxygen-poor blood absorbs much of the red light. Therefore, by badyzing the ratio between the two types of light pbading through the other body part, the oximeter is able to determine the oxygen level in the blood.
