A man entered Universal Book of Records by serving food to 1,000 people in one day. Goutham Kumar, founder of the Hyderabad-based NGO "Serve Needy", served food to residents of various locations in Hyderabad on Sunday.
It is learned that Gowtham served food near Gandhi Hospital, Rajendra Nagar and in an Uppal orphanage.
KV Ramana Rao, representative of Universal Book of Records in India and representative of TM Srilatha Telangana presented a souvenir to Gowtham Kumar.
Kumar launched the NGO in 2014, which now has more than 140 volunteers spread across Hyderabad. "The motto of our organization is to prevent starvation deaths," said Kumar, adding that the organization was seeking help from the government.
