Now that Thanos is defeated, Iron Man and Black Widow are dead and Captain America is an old man. Fans wonder what will be the future of the MCU . What movies will Marvel Studios produce (has not been announced yet)? How many new heroes will be introduced? Who will be the bad guys? Well, we do not have an answer to the first two questions yet, but we might have a partial answer to the last question.
According to a Reddit user by the name of TheMarvelScoopMaster, Marvel seeks to introduce two big problems in phase four:
"We're going to see more than one villain in the UCM. Think of him as a threat at two levels Thanos, but Marvel seeks to create a more "grounded" threat and a more "cosmic" threat. This will be their way of raising the bar of Thanos.
TheMarvelScoopMaster adds that the downside threat will be Norman Osborn. The Reddit user notes that even though we had already seen Norman Osborn on screen (he had been described by Willem Dafoe in the Raimi Spider-Man trilogy), this version of the character "will draw heavily from Dark Reign ", which means that Osborn control people using his political and economic influences.
Michael Korvac, on the other hand, will be the cosmic threat. The introduction of Korvac will probably occur in Captain Marvel's sequel, and after that, he would become "a threat to the greatest cosmic MCU". will be introduced in Spider-Man: Far From Home . So, after the release of the film, we'll know more about Osborn's role in the MCU and in upcoming movies.
Clearly, this is not official information, so it must be taken with a grain of salt. But, less than a month from Far From Home we will see very soon if these rumors are true.
