The films of Anjali Menon guarantee that you will leave the theater with a smile. Koode follows this tradition and may even have a length up front on his recent movies. The story revolves around the lives of Joshua (Prithviraj), Jenny (Nazriya), Aloshy (Ranjith), Lilly (Maala Parvathi) and Sophie (Parvathy).

The story begins with Joshua receiving a call from his father to go home immediately. Joshua has been working in Dubai since the age of 15 and shows little attachment to his family; he has reasons for that. He has trouble accepting his time and plans to return soon. It is then that Jenny begins to intervene in her life. Although he finds her nagging at first, the trip with Jenny changes her life forever.

Koode is Joshua's journey of self-discovery; a journey to regain his lost emotions, his romantic relationships, his happiness and his sad past. Prithviraj as Joshua sparkles throughout the film. His chosen play brings Joshua to life in every setting. There was a Prithviraj that we used to miss after movies like Ayalum Njanum Thammil. Well, Anjali has used his potential to present a brilliant act on the screen. Without Jenny, Joshua would not have been so gorgeous. Thanks to Nazriya, otherwise, Jenny would not have been so bubbly and convincing. Jenny is a bespoke role for Nazriya. Neither Anjali nor the public could ever imagine someone else doing the role.

Parvathy has limited screen space in the first half, but becomes a terrific part of Joshua's trip in the second half. Although limited in the number of scenes, their chemistry is something impressive. Ranjith and Maala Parvathi as kind loving parents leave us touching moments. Supporting actors – Pauly Wilson, Rajan RC, Atul Kulkarni, Devan, Roshan Mathew, Siddharth Menon and others – deserve applause for their interpretation. Anjali is a director who focuses on the details and can be seen throughout the film, from Jenny's room decor and the van to the small scenes that make us smile about everything. our heart. Zubin, who convincingly interpreted the young Joshua (both in appearances and acts) deserves special mention with Brownie (Jenny's pet), to be an inevitable part of the film's journey.
