One day ago, the train to beat reached its climax when it was revealed that Prithviraj himself would play in the film with an eclectic cast including Vivek Oberoi, Thomas Tovino, Manju Warrier and Indrajith, to name a few.
In the first half of the film, Prithviraj Sukumaran makes a start with a thriller that evolves in a political context, with style and substance. The film's plot begins with the death of a senior politician and his party that is preparing to elect his successor. The key plot however is the illegitimate funds that run the political parties and in this case it is the drug mafia.
The first half takes his time to stage his characters, to oppose them to each other and to tease the different shades of each character.
Prithviraj for the most part forbids playing at the gallery and celebrating the celebrity of Mohanlal, but when he does, he does so with panache. Vivek Oberoi shines in his debut at Mollywood as an accomplice antagonist and Sai Kumar as well.
The first half also contains several references to Mohanlal superhits such as Narasimham, Irupathaam Noottaandu and Spadhikam that are sure to delight fans.
The second half promises the other side of Stephen Nedumpally with more characters, including Tovino's Jatin Das, who comes on the scene.
