Aamir has a penchant for the metamorphosis and pierced his nose for his latest film, Thugs of Hindostan. The film shattered at the box office after being opened with record collections of 50 crores of Rs. Also performed by Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Sana Fatima Shaikh, the film was directed by Vijay Krishna Celebrity Acharya Dhoom 3.

Aamir even apologized for the failure of the film while baduming responsibility for his disappointing ticketing collections. The film was also rejected by the critics, after which Aamir had declared during an event: "I would like to badume full responsibility for it. You can be sure we have tried our best level. There are people who have loved the film and we thank them for it. We are happy that they liked the film, but it is a minority. The majority of people did not like the movie and we are aware of it. So, there is no doubt that we went wrong. I wish to apologize to the viewers who came to watch my film in the theaters, because I was not able to entertain them despite my best efforts. But those who came with so many expectations have not enjoyed the movie and I feel very bad about it.
