Aditya Pancholi filed a lawsuit with the Versova police against actress Kangana Ranaut and her lawyer, Rizwan Siddiqui, claiming that he feared to be detained in a rape case. He wrote to the police that Kangana's lawyer had asked him to withdraw the defamation suit against the actress in order to prevent a rape case from being brought against him. The actor also shared a video to prove his innocence and asked the police to look into the matter. The investigations began when Kangana's sister, Rangoli Chandel, accused Pancholi of having badaulted and exploited the actress almost ten years ago.
