Even though a biopic about Narendra Modi is nearing completion, Eros Now announced on Wednesday a web series on the Prime Minister. The series will be released in April this year, coinciding with the 2019 general election, which runs from April 11 to May 19. The alliance led by Modi's Bharatiya Janata party hopes to be re-elected for a second term.
Modi the Web series "will present the eventful life of this inspiring and influential leader," said the decision makers in a press release. The producers are Benchmark Pictures and the director is Umesh Shukla ( Oh My God, 2012, 102 Not Out, 2018).
The 10-episode series will cover Modi's life, from the age of 12 to his political career. Mihir Bhuta and Radhika Anand wrote the series, which will highlight "Many incidents that led him to dedicate his life to the service of the country," the press reported. A statement was added describing the series as "the ultimate bridge to witness the life of a self-made man".
