After her glamorous debut at the Cannes Film Festival in the South of France, Priyanka Chopra traveled to Ethiopia for a UNICEF performance. The actor took Instagram stories to publish a special message about his trip for his fans.
In a video posted as a story on Instagram, she says, "Hello everyone, I'm on a very special trip. I just touched Ethiopia and it's raining. We are currently in Addis Ababa (capital of Ethiopia). Apparently, it's the first rainy day here. So, I feel good about it. But it's an extremely special trip. I hope you will all come with me on this trip. I am in Ethiopia for a specific reason. I would like to highlight Unicef's education program for children and youth in the country. There is a huge barrier to access to education for children as there are so many school dropouts that start as soon as kids enter school. Primary education goes from Std 1 to Std 8 and secondary education is after. We see abandonments of Std 1. "

On May 17, Priyanka debuted on the red carpet in Cannes attending the premiere of the movie Rocketman. For her debut on the Cannes red carpet, Priyanka chose a daring set with black and red ornaments, a custom creation by Roberto Cavalli. She wore the strapless dress with a very tall plume slot. During the day, she also attended the screening of a documentary on AIDS. On May 18, she attended an event organized by Chopard at the festival with her husband Nick Jonas.
Priyanka, last seen in the Hollywood film Is not It Romantic, finished filming Bollywood film Shonali Bose, Sky star Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim. Later in the year, she will start shooting for her movie with Hollywood stars Mindy Kaling, which would be based on a big and fat Indian wedding.
