Dino Morea believes that it is wise to be part of content-oriented films rather than working in a bad movie. The model became actor so decided to pause and wait for the moment when he would get a role that would make the audience sit and take note. Dino's last Bollywood release dates back to 2010 with the movie Pyaar Impossible !. Meanwhile, he shot two cameos and a movie in South India, Solo (2017). But except for them, he decided to stay behind. Past 2019, the actor is expected to make a comeback with a Web series and a Bollywood project. Enthusiastic about the characters he will play in them, Dino talks about this interruption and what he looks forward to.

After a decade, what about?
I could not wait to get back to the screen, I can not wait to get back to the screen. The web shows that I have them right now are absolutely fantastic in terms of story and my character. But I have to say yes to any of them and I am currently trying to make that decision. It's a bit difficult though.
But what took you so long to decide on your project of return?
[In all these years] I had offers coming up but the proposed roles did not make sense [to me] which is why I did not feel excited at all. Look at the kind of movies that have been made in the last couple of years that give importance to content. So, if I had made one of those movies not so good, I would have been instantly called the flop actor. There is no point in digging one's own grave. Everyone liked my first film, Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi (1999), but when my last films did not go well, I was called a bad actor. People correlate your skills with a hit or a flop. I have therefore decided to wait for a good opportunity to come to my door.
Is that why you decided to make a web series and not a movie?
I'm producing two movies and I'm going to play in one of them, a thriller. I've never had such a thing that I'm not going to make movies or anything. It's just that the web space is booming right now. Watch the kind of shows you do – The Crossing, Ozark, Narcos, Sacred Games – and the quality of their welcome. In addition, these programs are watched around the world. This is another benefit when your work affects so many people.
At some point, did this wait seem too long and did you miss the buzz and the action on a film set?
Stay up-to-date, stay in touch and expand your network sufficiently to stay relevant. Insecurities crept in and there was a time when I was going to say yes to crappy movies, but very quickly I came to my senses. And while I was not working, I attended workshops to improve my skills.
