As the nation celebrates Republic Day, that day a patriotic spirit sprang up for everyone, including the Bollywood celebrities who spent their day with friends, family and even the public. By celebrating Republic Day this past weekend this year, we certainly need to look at the movies surrounding the patriotic theme. At every national holiday, movie stars tend to release movies for public enjoyment.

Although every year films about patriotism are out, many movie stars have been featured in major theaters with non-patriotic or historical relevance. This year, Kangna Ranaut's Manikarnika and Thackeray's Nawazuddin Siddiqui were screened on silver screens, both of which had a patriotic upheaval. Take a look at 10 Bollywood movies that were released on Republic Day and did not nurture patriotism.

1. Padmaavat
With Deepika Paduk, Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles, this film was a blockbuster and one of the biggest revenue of 2018

2. Raees
Shah Rukh Khan collaborated with Pakistani actress Mahira Khan for the filming of this film which was released in 2017 on the occasion of Republic Day.

3. Kaabil
Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam played the lead role in Kaabil in the role played by a visually impaired couple.

4. Agneepath
This film was a cover of the 1990 drama starring Amitabh Bachchan, Mithun Chakraborty, Madhavi and Neelam Kothari. However, the 2012 film featured Sanjay Dutt, Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra.

5. Race 2

10. Sunday
With Ajay Devgn, Ayesha Takia and Arshad Warsi this film is a trademark of Rohit Shetty.
