There are more options for people traveling between Delhi and the west with two airlines – Air Italy , which is 49% owned by Qatar Airways and the Icelandic low-cost airline WOW Air – flights from IGI airport starting on Friday.
These two airlines offer connections beyond the links with North America and Europe. While Air Italy has major expansion projects with the support of Qatar, WOW Air is currently in the midst of restructuring restructuring with an Airbus A330 in its wide-body fleet.

Characteristics of Air Italy
Air Italy will provide the connection between Delhi and Milan three times a week. Starting next Friday, it will also operate on the Mumbai-Milan line with the help of its Airbus A-330 with 252 seats, with 24 seats and 228 seats in economy clbad. The plane is equipped with an on-board Wi-Fi connection that will have to be disabled in Indian airspace, which all international airlines with Internet-board must also do. Economy clbad pbadengers wishing to use WiFi on board will, however, have to pay for the service.

Air Italy's chief operating officer, Rossen Dimitrov, said that the airline in Advanced discussions with Vistara for code sharing and the same could be announced shortly. "We started flying to New York JFK, Miami earlier this year from our Milan Malpensa hub (MXP) and will be adding Los Angeles and San Francisco to our network in 2019. Our Indian customers can benefit from seamless transfers to these flights.We are a full service carrier with no hidden charges, "said Dimitrov.

WOW Air will fly three times a week between Delhi and Reykjavik. It also offers connecting flights to North America and Europe. However, WOW Air is in the process of restructuring and has reduced its workforce over the past few days.

Direct Flight to Iceland
Flag Bearer from Iceland Icelandair had about a month back agreed to acquire WOW. However, this agreement fell. WOW is a typical low-cost carrier serving Airbus A330, for which accessories such as luggage, seat and meals must be purchased separately.
Incidentally, Icelandair also learned to plan flights to India.

Other on the Road
WOW is the first ever direct connection between India and Iceland. Italy, for its part, has regular direct flights to and from India with Air India and Alitalia operating in these areas.
