Aishwarya Rai Bachchan reportedly refused a supporting role in the historical epic of 2004, Troy, because she felt uncomfortable turning scenes intimate with Brad Pitt.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, Aishwarya would be offered the role of Briseis in the film, directed by Wolfgang Petersen and starring Eric Bana, Orlando Bloom, Dian Kruger, among others. The role was eventually awarded to Rose Byrne after the death of Aishwarya.

Aishwarya has appeared in several Hollywood films, including The Pink Panther 2, Bride & Prejudice, The Mistress of Spices. Troy is a major box office success, bringing in nearly $ 500 million worldwide and was nominated for an Academy Award.

Aishwarya was last seen in the 2018 Fanney Khan drama, also starring Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. The film did not manage to make good deals at the box office. Aishwarya was also seen in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Sarbjit.

It was reported that her next film would reunite her with her husband Abhishe Bachchan for the first time since Raavan. The film, Gulab Jamun, was to be produced by Anurag Kashyap. However, recent information suggests that the couple left the film.

On Monday, Aishwarya went to Instagram to wish Abhishek his birthday. Sharing a picture of Abhishek's baby, she captioned it, "Always … My baby HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY."
