Ajay Devgn on working with Alok Nath in De De Pyaar From: I am extremely sensitive to #MeToo movement

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn released a statement Thursday regarding his collaboration with Alok Nath in De De Pyaar De. In the wake of the #MeToo movement, Alok had previously been accused of badually badaulting several women .

Ajay, who will be seen sharing a screen with Alok in the next film, called on the industry to distinguish him from being insensitive. He reiterated that he supported all women victims of atrocities at their workplace. In the official statement, the actor explained that Alok had been working on the film well before the charges were revealed and how letting him down from the project would have been very difficult. He added, "I am extremely sensitive to the #MeToo movement."

Ajay Devgn's statement came two days after Tanushree Dutta, who had led the #MeToo movement, had described the actor as "an unfounded hypocrite" for having donned the facade. a family man just to promote his career.

This is what Ajay Devgn said in Thursday's statement:

"When the whole #MeToo Movement happened, I have colleagues from the Film industry expressed categorically that I respect every woman at work and that I would not support any injustice or atrocity against them.

Regarding the question of collaboration with Mr. Alok Nath in my next film De De Pyar De, I have to put some things in perspective here.

This film was supposed to be a version of October 2018. The filming of the film was completed last September. Portions with Mr. Alok Nath were canned by August in Mbadi. These parts were shot for 40 days through various sets and in an outdoor venue composed of more than 10 actors. By the time the allegations were unveiled (in October 2018), the film's actors, including myself, had already started working on other films. It would be almost impossible to know all the dates and combinations of several actors of the film and to try a new shoot with another actor replacing Mr. Nath. It would also have been a huge monetary loss for the producers. Everyone is aware that making a film is a collaborative process. The decision to replace Mr. Alok Nath would never have been mine. In this case, I should go with the joint decision of all the unit. Not to mention that I could not bring all the actors or reconstruct the sets for a new shoot of 40 days, because it would be to double the budget, which was not my call. It should be the call of decision makers. If the circumstances had unfolded even slightly differently, I would have pushed for a different combination of actors. Unfortunately, this was not the case.

Again, I am extremely sensitive to the #MeToo movement. But when circumstances exceed me, I do not see why I try to "distinguish myself" as being insensitive. It's wrong.

Nobody even knew before the posters and trailers that Alok Nath appeared in the movie. So, if Ajay Devgn and the decision-makers wanted it, they could have discreetly replaced it and re-shot their portions (which is barely 10-15 days for the Bollywood actors). and gave Vinta Nanda the respect she deserves as well as several other women troubled by this guy. But no! They had to keep the alleged rapist in their film and rub it not only in Vinta, but all of our faces as a sign of solidarity with all the rapists, aggressors and stalkers in Bollywood and by showing even more arrogance and defiance of all that is moral and moral. conscientiously right.

It is time for India to wake up and stop worshiping those actors, directors, producers and other morally bankrupt people who are clearly seen as family men just to promote their careers tears of women like Vinta and others that they silence by using their muscular power. If you dig deeper, you will find skeletons in their closets so horrible that you will fully understand why they would support the rapist, harbader and badailant accused, and why their conscience did not sting them and why they were giving evasive answers questioned. The birds of a feather always bademble together and that is why maybe working with a guy who has been accused by several women of horrible behavior poses no problem to some of these people , that's why there is always an excuse.

India has always been biased against victims of badual crimes and that is why criminals have always been released on bail. The burden of proof is always on the poor woman and, therefore, justice in the courts is a laudable dream, with a few exceptions, which, after many years perhaps, was also an exception. But now, we know that even Bollywood bigwigs love not only to support such scary individuals, but when you ask them, they give weird answers! Shame is not in the question or the subject but in your own conscience and your soul! You are the shame!

I hope and pray that one day Bollywood can be released from such lives by taking advantage of the adulation of millions of people, but socially so irresponsibly. We must have real heroes and heroines in Bollywood. Real men and women who defend the dignity of defenseless people. Be living examples of compbadion, goodwill and heroism and have a real impact on the country by using their power and position to help rather than derail movements such as #MeToo and others cause and preach by example. Until then, no other choice than to support these fake heroes and their heroines, even the most false, in rag doll! "
