It will be seen in Bhuj: The pride of India. The film is based on a real incident and is one of the most fascinating stories related to the war in India. Devgn will try the role of squadron leader Vijay Karnik, who was in charge of Bhuj airport during the Indo-Pak war in 1971. It is Karnik and his team, with the help of the women of the region, which reconstructed the destroyed airstrip of the Indian Air Force in Bhuj, Gujarat, at a time that could be described as "Pearl Harbor" in India.
The landing strip was destroyed during air strikes that saw Pakistan drop napalm bombs on it. Karnik took a bold step to convince 300 intrepid women from a nearby village to rebuild the runway so that a plane carrying Indian Army officers could land safely.
Karnik, along with two other officers, 50 air force soldiers and 60 members of the Defense Corps, managed to keep the air base operational despite the heavy bombing of Pakistan. Directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, the film will be produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ginny Khanuja, Vajir Singh and Abhishek Dudhaiya.
