Ajay Devgn's father Veeru Devgan, also a popular Hindi film choreographer, was admitted to Surya hospital in Mumbai before his death on May 27, 2019.
The famous director gave the film industry many iconic films including films like Inkaar (1977), M. Natwaralal (1979), Kranti (1981), Himmatwala (1983), Shahenshah (1988), Tridev (1989), Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri (1990) Phool Aur Kaante (1991) and animator of other films
He also directed Hindustan Ki Kasam, with his son Ajay, alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Manisha Koirala and Sushmita Sen, between other. The funeral would be held today in Mumbai at 6 pm

Many celebrities shared their condolences online. The director Sham Kaushal, father of the actor Vicky Kaushal, wrote:
