Nerkonda Paarvai is directed by H. Vinoth Ajith's most anticipated film, Nerkonda Paarvai, will be released on August 8th.
"# NerKondaPaarvai will be released around the world on August 8 (sic)," tweeted film producer Boney Kapoor.
Boney did not, however, publish a statement explaining the real reason why the film had been released two days later. . Earlier, it was thought that the producer was planning a new release date while a multi-crore action movie, Saaho, starring Prabhas, is expected to open on Aug. 15. Nerkonda Paarvai is the official Tamil remake of Bollywood's Pink movie in 2016. The film dealt with the subject of consent. The original Hindi film featured Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Tariang in the lead roles. In the Tamil remake, Ajith puts himself in the shoes of Amitabh. The film also stars Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam and Andrea Tariang. Bollywood star Vidya Balan will make an appearance in the next film.

Nerkonda Paarvai marks the first Boney Kapoor adventure in the Tamil film industry. He is also funding the upcoming Ajith film, which will be directed by Vinoth again. Presented as an action movie, the untitled film is expected to be released in the last week of August and normal filming should begin in the first week of September.
