Newlyweds Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta, who got married on Saturday, are gearing up for another lavish wedding reception at the Jio World Center in Mumbai. Akash, the son of Mukesh Ambani, chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries Ltd, has forged a bond with the daughter of diamond merchant Russell Mehta, Shloka, at an intimate yet starry ceremony, which took place at the event.
In a new portrait photographed by Dabboo Ratnani, the couple looked elegant and gorgeous at the same time. While Akash wore a shimmering black sherwani at the wedding reception held yesterday, Shloka displayed the perfect smile of a happy newly married bride. Dressed in a Manish Malhotra creation, Shloka looked great in a pink gold lehenga. The couple looks happy in his new portrait of husband and wife. Keeping her hair to one side, Shloka exudes elegance through her ethnic avatar.
The wedding festivities began last month in St Moritz, Switzerland, where the family celebrated Akash's single party at an Ambanis-themed theme park called Winter Wonderland.
The Bollywood stars who participated in the wedding of Akash and Shloka are Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani, Aran, Karan Johar, Ayan Mukerji, Alia Bhatt, among others.
The couple will hold another wedding reception today at the Jio World Center in Mumbai, which is expected to host famous business personalities.
