Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is among the 100 highest-paid celebrities in the world, according to the annual Forbes Celebrity 100 list, completed by American singer Taylor Swift. However, the actors Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan (again) have not managed to find a place on the list. In 2018, Salman was ranked 82nd with a profit of 37.7 million USD. While Shah Rukh, who shared the list with Akshay and Salman and ranked 65th in 2017, was dropped from the list in 2018.

Akshay was ranked 33rd out of the top 100 2019 with revenues of Rs 444 million (US $ 65 million). According to Forbes, Bollywood star Akshay "earns at least $ 5 million and up to $ 10 million per film". The actor also operates "millions for approval contracts with more than 20 brands".

The actor, who is currently preparing the release of Mangal Mission is even ahead of Hollywood stars such as Rihanna, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Katy Perry, Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.
