Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan congratulate SOTY 2 actors after the launch of the trailer

A few hours after its release, the Second Year Student trailer caught the attention of fans and the media. While everyone had a glimpse of what the film was going to be, the cast of the upcoming musical comedy received the greatest cheer. Beginners Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday were applauded for being cheerful and self-affirming.

As the film rushes forward with promotions leading up to its release on May 10, the original cast of Student of the Year (2012) took the time to congratulate the actors and the directors. Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, who promote Kalank praised the new group of students. It may be recalled that Student of the Year was the first film of Alia and Varun.

Sidharth Malhotra, another actor who made his debut at Bollywood with the movie 2012, has not yet responded to the trailer. It is also said that he is in relation with the actress Tara. He confessed on Koffee With Karan that she had a "crush on a former student", which was supposed to refer to Sidharth.
