Alia Bhatt shared with Tiger Shroff a teaser of her upcoming Student of the Year 2 song, Hook Up. The video will appear on Tuesday, revealed the actors in publications on social networks.
The short film shows Tiger and Alia in what appears to be an empty club, dancing like a rogue. Tiger wears a leather jacket and no shirt, uncovering her abs, while Alia dances in a corner. As they come closer to each other, their names are revealed in fantastic title cards, and then merge before our eyes in a hashtag: #Talia. The only line sung in the video is "Hook up tu kar le na".
Alia and Tiger had already shared footage of the song, which was announced at the launch of the second song of the movie, Mumbai Dilli Di Kudiyaan. . Tiger also shared a screenshot of a conversation on WhatsApp.
Tiger had admitted that Alia had outperformed in the song. He said, "Personally, I have never done a dance number like that. Working with Alia was an amazing experience. Although she was a big star, she was open and cooperative on the set when shooting the song.
Director Punit Malhotra nodded. He told Mumbai Mirror: "The song is an badet that we have saved for the end. Tiger is going to kill me for saying that, but Alia danced better than him. I call this a leap of faith, it's a fun place.
The sophomore is a sequel to Karan Johar's 2012 film, which launched the careers of Alia, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra. The new film will feature debutantes Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria. The release is scheduled for May 10.
