Allahabad: The Allahabad High Court on Friday suspended the arrest of Bollywood actress, Sonakshi Sinha, related to a criminal case against her. for allegedly cheating an organizer of the event in Moradabad. The actress and four other people had been detained in the case last month.
In a complaint filed on November 24 of last year, an event organizer, Pramod Sharma, had claimed that he had paid 24 lakh to a company to invite Sinha to a distribution of price.
According to the Applicant, the Applicant, residing in Shivpuri, Moradabad, reportedly paid a total of 37 Rs. Lakh, which would have included a considerable amount transferred to Sinha.
The settlement of an interlocutory motion filed by Sinha, a division composed of judges Naheed Ara Moonis and Virendra Kumar Srivastava, on Friday, ordered that they not be arrested until the report was submitted by the police.
The court, however, ordered Sinha to cooperate with the police in the investigation and to appear as and when requested.
"It is specified that the applicant shall not be subject to any embarrbadment or harbadment in the meantime," HC said.
She, however, rejected the actress's plea that she would have canceled the FIR for having said, "According to the reader, the alleged prima facie offenses are established against her. As a result, we find no compelling reason to rescind the Settlement. "
At the hearing, the Applicant's counsel stated that the Applicant had lodged the report. contractual information containing allegations that were absolutely false and invented by the applicant for the purpose of unnecessarily exerting pressure on it.
The Sinha management agency had previously rejected the charges against her, saying that despite repeated reminders, the organizer had failed. make payments to the actress before the event as scheduled.
