[HOUR ONE]
– The show was canceled with Michael Cole, very hoarse, welcoming the audience to the program.
-After the introduction of Cole, Seth Rollins arrives in the ring with his brand new Universal Championship. The crowd is great for Rollins and he smiles watching his Universal title on stage. As he headed for the ring, the announcement team announced that the universal title was back on Raw and that Rollins had realized what many thought was impossible in the world. beating Brock Lesnar. Once Rollins arrived in the ring, the announcement marked a package of highlights detailing last night's World Championship game between Lesnar and Rollins.
Heydorn badysis: Really nice to hear a song like the one of the Universal Champion. Over the past two years, Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns have been at the center of their concerns, two mixed reactions at best from crowds around the world. It's a new beginning.
Among the highlights of the video, Rollins was found in the ring and absorbed the audience's song "You deserve it". Seth looked moved and told the audience, "No, we deserve it." He said he's been waiting for a long time to be part of the ring and hold the World Championship over his head. He then stated that it was enough to defeat the most dominant champion of the WWE. Afterwards, the audience chanted "Thank you Rollins." Rollins smiled on hearing this singing, but then told the crowd that he had to be real and that he was feeling physically terrible. He said he took suplexes and F-5s, but he got up. He said he was getting up and taking everything Brock had to hand out and getting up. He then admitted that he may have resorted to dubious tactics to gain a benefit, but that the truth was that he had done nothing to Brock, that Brock would not have him subjected to it.
Heydorn's badysis: I am still not a fan of the low shots of last night's match. That said, Rollins' attempt to justify it made sense and worked with the character of Lesnar.
Rollins then went on to say that he had news. He said that he had heard Lesnar and Heyman take a flight to Vegas last night for "meetings". He then stated that Lesnar and Heyman could stay in Vegas because Brock Lesnar was no longer the reigning, defending and undisputed all-around champion, but what he was. Rollins then called himself all these things, but added "to fight" to the list of things that he was as a universal champion. He then declared that everyone would be proud of his reign on the title.
Analysis of Heydorn: A great babyface promo, from a great victory. Rollins placed his opponent and put himself in his turn.
The audience applauds Rollins' words, but acclamations intensify as New Day's music begins. From there, Big E opened the New Day standard opening and they appeared on stage with Kofi Kingston holding the WWE title. The crowd broke out and, as they headed for the ring, the announcement team said that such crazy things were happening at Raw after WrestleMania.
Heydorn Analysis: Does Cole attempt to explain the crazyness of Raw after WrestleMania without having to take a full advertiser segment to do it? If so, I am on board. Great reaction for Kofi and New Day as expected.
Once New Day arrived in the ring, Kofi spoke and said that Seth looked very confused. Rollins agreed and said it was not Tuesday, but Monday. Kofi agreed and said that his eyes were not deceiving him. Big E then spoke and said that last night was a party and that this celebration could not wait until Tuesday. They then turned to Rollins to win the title and to Kofi for the unthinkable to obtain the WWE Championship title. The trio celebrated the victories and then Kofi spoke again. He alluded to Becky Lynch winning both titles and suggested that he and Rollins fight and that the winner takes all the stakes. He said that the shield and other members of New Day would be excluded from the ring and that they would fight man to man and title for title. The audience chanted "C'est génial" before Rollins said "challenge accepted". The crowd welcomed the approval. Rollins and Kingston looked in the middle of the ring as Woods and Big E played aerial guitar on Seth's music.
Heydorn badysis: Wow. What open on the show. The crowd is hot and the WWE capitalized on a major announcement that was playing on the building's public for an optimal reaction while offering a match that will certainly keep the eyes on the show while watching at home. Great things all around.
– From there, the announcement team scrambled for other events, including an appearance of Becky Lynch and a rematch of WrestleMania between Revival and Hawkins / Ryder. Hawkins and Ryder then made their entrance while the show was on commercial break. (c)
(1) THE REVIVAL Vs. CURT HAWKINS & ZACK RYDER – WWE Raw Tag Team Championship
Official presentations were made and the championship game started. Dawson and Ryder started things, Dash quickly became involved in the game. Young and Graves commented on Hawkins and Ryder's team last night. In the ring, Dash hit Ryder in the chest and Ryder responded with a clothesline. From there, Ryder scored Hawkins in the match and covered Dash for a quick count. Soon, Dash turned the tables toward Hawkins and controlled him near their corner. Dash brought Dawson back to the match and he smashed Curt's face against the ring post. From there, Dawson locked a head lock. Finally, Hawkins broke the hold and nailed Dawson with a dropkick. Afterwards, he struck a series of strikes on Dawson until they were stopped by Dash who intervened. They then regained control and hit a clothesline in tandem while the show was about to break. (c)
After the break, the action continued and Hawkins had two accounts almost falling on Dash. Off the spit, he tried a suplex, but Dash countered. Out of the counter Hawkins picked him up and got a second count. After the pin, Hawkins scored Ryder in the match. Dash cheated with his feet on the ropes for a pin, but Ryder kicked two. Outside the ring, Dawson suspended Hawkins before climbing the top rope to hit Ryder with a double team. On that one, Dawson made Ryder's cover, but only got two accounts. In the end, Hawkins blindly labeled Ryder to enter the match. Dash and Dawson hit Shatter Machine on Ryder and as they put their hand on the pin, Hawkins started Dawson for the 1, 2, 3 win. (C)
WINNER: Ryder and Hawkins via pinfall [19659004 Heydorn badysis: A match from A to B in which the comment was heavy on the "fluke" style won by Hawkins at WrestleMania. This finish has doubled on this story. If anyone is a big fan of the Hawkins / Ryder team, this verbiage is not a positive sign for his long-term position in the team division.
– At the end of the break, Baron Corbin was announced to the crowd with trouble. His "praise" was overwhelmed and he then made his entrance into a very negative reaction from the crowd. Cole described Corbin's victory over Angle as "not fair" and Angle seriously highlighted all the reasons why he was right. Cole responded by saying that Corbin had humiliated Angle. Once Corbin entered the ring, the audience booed loudly. Corbin laughed at their boos and thanked them when they called him a jerk. He said he heard the public crying for weeks on the fact that he was not an ideal opponent for Angle during his retirement game. While he was talking, the crowd asked him to shut up. Corbin responded by mocking the audience again and calling it dirty. After receiving a message, Corbin claimed to have beaten an Olympic gold medalist and thus deserved his own gold medal.
Heydorn badysis: Corbin was good at managing the back and forth between the two booing crowd. It is so much better than it is produced behind the scenes. If WWE is smart, they put it in places where it can focus on that positive feature.
As soon as he uttered these words, Kurt Angle hit the ring with great pop. The audience has "you feared" and Cole felt the need to explain why this song was so endearing to him. Once Angle arrived in the ring, the audience cheered and chanted "Thank you Kurt". Angle then thanked them before saying that at WrestleMania, Corbin was the best of men. He said his career was over, but that Corbin was just beginning. From there, Angle wishes Corbin good luck and shakes his hand. Corbin shook her, but Angle then said "bad luck" before giving Corbin the Fall of Angle. The audience went completely crazy and then proceeded to administer the presentation of the ankle lock on Corbin until Corbin came out of the ring.
Heydorn's badysis: I'm not sure I'll get it. As soon as Corbin was criticized by Angle, the heat generated and future bragging rights arising from Angle's withdrawal flew out the window. In the short term, he had a reaction, but in the long run, what is the purpose?
As the crowd went crazy, Lars Sullivan sparked a great reaction. He faced Angle in the middle of the ring and then planted it with a side slam that drew a lot of heat from the crowd. After the slam, Sullivan climbed to the top rope and hit Angle with a thundering head shot. Lars then left the ring as the audience nodded. c)
Analysis of Heydorn: that's how you start with a monster. Lars looked at the party, was physical and domineering with his size in relation to Angle. Congratulations to NXT, number one for the evening.
-At the break, Lars Sullivan's strengths detailed the events that preceded the break with Kurt Angle.
-When the flagship video is over, Alexa Bliss is directed to the entire ring to fight. equipment. The ad team then discussed his social media challenge with Sasha Banks or Bayley. With Bliss in the ring, the ad team wondered who would answer the call. Bayley's music hit and she went out on the ring without Sasha Banks.
Heydorn badysis: Important note. All the inflatables worked tonight.
(2) ALEXA BLISS against BAYLEY
Once Bayley arrived at the ring, the bell rang and the match began. Bliss mocked Bayley from the door for losing the team titles to WrestleMania and in response, Bayley attacked him with a flurry of punches. Bliss picked up the match quickly and hit Bayley against the ring apron. As she did, the audience did the song "Hey Bayley". From there, the action reverberated in the ring, Bliss retaining the top. Finally, Bayley took control of the match and hit Bliss with a sunburn in a powerful bomb.
Analysis of Heydorn: Ouch. That one had to hurt. Bliss is back after rumors of injuries have spread around her. I'm not sure it's the bump I'd get out of the door.
Shortly after, Bliss quickly regained momentum and hit Bayley with DDT Spike to win the 1,2,3 victory. (c)
WINNER: Bliss via pinfall
Heydorn badysis: Not much to do to dissect. Is someone in a worse situation than Bayley (and Sasha Banks) coming out of WrestleMania. If this match is an indication, the answer is no
– Outside the break, Becky Lynch's music has hit a huge audience pop. Lynch walked on the scene and Graves said that the whole world was still talking about "the man." Lynch then went to the ring with a title in hand and the other around the waist.
[HOUR TWO]
Lynch posed around the ring while the audience continued to applaud. From there, the ad team traced the highlights of last night's winner and took the entire main event between Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair. On the video recap, Lynch stood in the ring as the audience cheered and sang "Becky." Lynch looked at them then spoke to "New York!" She said that nine years ago she was working in a bar not far from the arena. The audience then chanted "You deserve it". Lynch thanked them and then said that they had done it. From there, she was called "Becky Two Belts" and the audience quickly chanted. Lynch went on to discuss the story that Charlotte and Rousey had made about their participation in WrestleMania. Lynch said that when everything was said and done, the woman without anything, came out of WrestleMania with everything. She then held the belt over her head. From there, Lynch said she was neither the strongest nor the fastest, but she was the mistress of survival. She said that she would always find a way to win in the end and the audience chanted "You are the man." In response, Lynch replied, "Do you hear that Ronnie, kind of crazy?" She then told Ronda that every time she had finished sulking she could come back and her empty head slapped again. Lynch then turned to the women's division and said that although she understood that she was a marked woman, she was ready to slap all the opponents. His music then struck, but was interrupted by Lacey Evans. Evans went out and found himself facing Lynch. Evans looked at Lynch in the face and walked away. After smiling, Lynch followed Evans and gave him his back. The two women fought on the ramp until Lynch tried to lock Evans into the Disarmer. Before she could, the fight was interrupted by WWE officials.
Heydorn badysis: good segment. Lynch was aware of her promotion after the victory and how she talked about the path to victory. The shots at Rousey have been effective and the WWE will come back when it's time for Lynch and Rousey to launch one against the other. As for the fight, Lynch had the advantage and was protected at the same time. At the same time, Evans has had a big place and seems to be Lynch's first challenger. She needs this definition after weeks spent trolling various acts with her outings.
-Seth Rollins was interviewed behind the scenes and said he accepted Kofi's challenge because it's for his life. He said that he lives for the challenge and that he enjoyed Kofi and the New Day coming out, he was also a little disrespectful because Raw was his show. He says that if Kofi wanted to show him what he had won, being B + would not be enough to do the job.
Heydorn Analysis: Another good promotion of Seth. He owned his show as his babyface top. Exactly what Raw needs his universal champion.
– After the interview, Ricochet made his entrance in a nice reaction from the crowd. After, Aleister Black got the same positive effect as the show. (c)
– After the break, Bobby Roode and Chad Gable make their entry. As they headed for the ring, a pre-recorded interview was broadcast in which they said that they would start doing things their way to regain the top. Once in the ring, the bell rings and the match begins.
(3) BOBBY ROODE & CHAD GABLE vs. ALEISTER BLACK & RICOCHET
Black and Gable started with Gable taking Black to the mat. He went to get a pin, but Black fired outside and sat in front of Gable in his patented pose. Finally, Ricochet marked the beginning of the match and he and Black made many moves on their opponents, including a Meteora of Black. With Ricochet as a lawyer, Roode and Gable resumed their momentum as the show went on a commercial break. (c)
When the show returns, the action continues: Gable and Roode badociate Ricochet and cut the ring in half to prevent it from being stained. Gable hit a German surmultan on Ricochet and then scored Roode in the match. Roode came in and trampled Ricochet before locking a lock and tagging Gable. Eventually, Ricochet kicked Gable and brought the label back to Black. Black hit the ring and knocked out Roode, who had entered the match. He then nailed Roode and Gable with a moonsault springboard. After that, Black tried a second meteor, but it was countered. Roode tried to roll Black, but Black was kicked out to two. Out of the pin, Black hit Roode several times, then brought Ricochet back into the game. Ricochet fought Roode on the top rope and was illegally fired by Gable. Roode covered, but had only two counts. In the end, Ricochet countered sliding Gable's German and covered for 1, win 2.
WINNER: Black and Ricochet via pinfall
-After the match, Roode attacked Ricochet from behind, then dived out of the ring. like Black did the same thing.
Heydorn badysis: good action and stronger performances of Black and Ricochet. Working with teams like Gable and Roode is not the best place in the world, but if they are placed above them and they overturn them without going to 50/50, they will avoid being defined.
-Elias was shown scratching the guitar behind the scenes. He then went to the camera and said that he had expected an excellent performance for WrestleMania. He then said that John Cena's rap music had ruined him. From there, he said the McMahon had given him the chance to play his rock opera on tonight's show.
Heydorn's Analysis: I can only imagine Vince McMahon telling John Cena "this rap music, if you could even call it music". Elias has well reflected the attitude of an old man out of touch. Now, who is doing the break tonight?
– Dean Ambrose's music provoked a positive response from the public. As he headed for the ring, advertisers confided that it was his last match at the WWE. Young even said, "I can not believe it's his last WWE match." The show was interrupted. (c)
– At the end of the break, Bobby Lashley headed for the ring with Lio Rush. They seemed frustrated to get booed before entering the ring. Once they did, Lashley took the Rush mike. He said "do not worry Dean, once you're gone, I'll take good care of your wife for you." The audience reacted and the shot up to Renee Young commented, who looked disgusted. In the ring, Ambrose attacked Lashley and beat him off the ring. Dean threw chairs at Lashley and then slammed him into the ring post. Afterwards, Ambrose threw Rush into the barricade and then turned his attention back to Lashley. Finally, Dean prepared the table of announcements to be able to pbad Bobby there. In doing so, Lashley attacked him from behind and used the table for himself. After throwing Ambrose inside, the audience chanted "You're still nil" to Lashley as he and Lio Rush walked away. The medical officials examined Dean with Renee Young before the scene was reduced to a photo of the winner who won the main event later in the series between Kofi Kingston and Seth Rollins.
Heydorn badysis: I can afford to use Ambrose as a partner. a manikin leaving. Lashley's zinger was very small and young. Low all around.
-Sami Zayn was shown walking backstage while the public cheered for approval. The show then cut at the commercial break. (c)
– On leaving the break, Sami Zayn strikes the ring forcefully and the audience sings his music as he lies down on the entrance ramp to soak. From there, Zayn went down the ramp and entered the ring.
Heydorn Analysis: With this music entry, it's a miracle that Zayn has ever had heat from the heel. It's him and baby's face from start to finish.
Once Zayn arrived in the ring, the audience continued to applaud and sing, which prevented Zayn from speaking. Sami laughed, then said to everyone "hello". From there, he told everyone his name in case they would forget him and told him that it was necessary to miss WrestleMania, at least that is good to be back the night after. He said his schedule was wide open and that he could really go for a game. After a short break, Finn Balor's music provoked a strong reaction. Balor went down the ramp and accepted the challenge. The two men clashed and it was announced that the match would be played for the Intercontinental Championship at the end of the show. (c)
(4) FINN BALOR vs. SAMI ZAYN – WWE Intercontinental Championship
At the end of the break, the bell rings and the match begins.
[HOUR THREE]]
From the beginning of the game, Balor and Zayn tied up and Renee Young came back to the ads counter. Cole asked her how Ambrose was and she said she did not think she should talk about it.
Heydorn badysis: Okay? No mention of the fact that Ambrose really did not have his last match. It may be the map they are going to play here to push this game a bit back in order to have a real meaning and a decisive influence for a star that remains on the list.
Back in the ring, Balor and Zayn went on to trade in the middle of the ring. Balor took Zayn on the mat with a headband and Zayn replied with a wrist shot. From there, they all threw themselves out of the ring. With Balor on the outside, Zayn attempted a suicide dive but stopped when Balor departed. He stopped in the spring, descending ropes and landing under the applause of the audience. Balor began to enter the ring and the action continued with more shots of each man. Balor again took Zayn with a dragged arm, then locked his shoulder. At this point, the ad discusses Zayn's injury.
Heydorn's badysis: Surprised, it took them so long to do it, but it worked when they finally got there. This is an important part of his story, especially during his first night and it helps to tell the story of this match .
Finally, Balor hit Zayn with a double kick that he followed with a bad in the corner. From there, Zayn countered but missed his springboard trail. Instead, Balor connected on a whim to knock Zayn down as the show ended. (c)
As soon as the break, Zayn hit Balor with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a charge of two. Zayn tried another move, but Balor replied with Sling Blade. Balor then hit his dropkick from the corner and left for the Coup De Gras, but Zayn avoided it and rolled Balor for a charge of two. Zayn hit Balor with the Suplexe Exploder in the corner. From there, he tried the Helluva Kick, but Balor moved away. When Zayn is on the ground, Balor succeeds in winning the Coup de Gras.
WNNER: Balor via pinfall
Heydorn badysis: good match. These guys had chemistry and Zayn seemed to be in solid form. Something tells me we have not seen the last of these two fights for the IC title.
-After the match, Balor put on his championship belt and went up the ramp while Zayn watched him from the ring. While Zayn seemed upset and disappointed, the audience acclaimed him. Zayn then picked up the mic and said that he really thought the fight over there would cure what made him uncomfortable. Instead, he said it only reinforced what he had achieved in the last nine months. He then told the crowd that it really seemed to him that he was missing them. The audience applauded and in response, Zayn stood up and said that he could honestly say that he was missing none of "this" or any other viewer.
Heydorn badysis: Does Alexa Bliss give advice to Sami Zayn on trolling? Perhaps he was writing his lines?
He called it a toxic environment and said that it was toxic because of the public and its ugliness. Zayn said he was leading a rewarding life and that the lack of public enjoyment bothered him. He added that they only liked to criticize before calling a fan in the crowd a jerk. From there, Zayn said that being a critic was the only thing that could give the public the feeling of being important. He said that no one in the crowd had the balls to look at himself and called the public delusional. He asked if the public really believed that they were the voice of reason and that they were the wicked lords of the WWE. After scolding the audience a bit more, Zayn told them that he would see them in hell before leaving the ring while they whistled. (c)
Heydorn's badysis: Well, they booed a bit, but part of the audience applauded. Why? Because Zayn is entertaining there. In which world would an audience encourage this type of promotion? It was fierce, serious and pronounced with a dangerous tone. In this regard, Zayn has delivered. At the same time, he entertains the audience and Zayn, as a long-term heel, is marked with a question mark. Plus, the music of course.
– On leaving the break, highlights of the fight between Becky Lynch and Lacey Evans were played. After, Dana Brooke was interviewed behind the scenes. She said that she wanted to make a quick and declarative statement. She congratulated Lynch and called Champ Champ. From there, she said she was not among the contenders for the title, but she was not in the back. She said that when she had the opportunity, she would seize her moment. From there, she congratulated Becky Lynch again and walked away.
Heydorn badysis: Dana Brooke needs to be seasoned. I do not feel like she feels what she's doing – whether it's wrestling or talking.
-Elias was presented and the audience applauded. From there, he explained that John Cena ruined his WrestleMania for the second year in a row. As he did, the audience booed a bit but then chanted "Oh walk with Elias". When they finished, Elias told the audience that he would show the world that he could also rap. Elias started beating and overthrowing John Cena. He finished his rap by threatening the next person who interrupts him and calling this person a dead man. From there, the Undertaker Gong hit.
Why not?
No doubt about it.
(6) SETH ROLLINS & KOFI KINGSTON vs. THE BAR
Le barreau prend rapidement le relais et, ce faisant, le spectacle prend fin. (c)
Dès la pause, le barreau a gardé le contrôle du combat et a battu Seth Rollins. The beating continued as the audience chanted random things. Finally, Rollins made the tag to Kingston and Kofi cleared the ring. From there, Kofi attempted Trouble In Paradise, but Sheamus countered. Instead, Kofi hit the SOS and covered, but only got a two count due to Cesaro’s interference. Out of the pin, Kingston attempted a top rope maneuver, but both Sheamus and Cesaro caught him. With Kofi in their arms, Rollins hit a suicide dive which allowed Kofi Kingston to climb to the top rope. From there, Kofi hit a top rope move and covered for a two count. In the end, Rollins hit Cesaro with the Stomp after Kofi’s Trouble In Paradise for the 1,2,3 win.
WINNER: Rollins and Kingston via pinfall
Heydorn’s Analysis: What a mess. And a mess that didn’t need to be there. WWE teasing a unification match and not delivering it killed the crowd and gave them a reason to rebel on a silver platter. In the end, all the performers, but especially Kofi and Rollins were in the middle of a situation in which they couldn’t win. WWE did some good things to tonight. This was not one of them. Period.
