During the terrorist attack of February 14, a suicide bomber belonging to the terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammad. drove an explosive-laden SUV onto a bus of the 78-vehicle safety convoy. The attack has been the deadliest for the security forces for decades.
The attack was largely condemned by the Indian film fraternity. Artists and technicians representing 24 film badociations even staged a two-hour protest against the incident and warned filmmakers not to work with Pakistani artists or release their films in Pakistan.
Many actors have also pledged to donate to the families of the victims. Amitabh, who was the highest taxpayer in 2018-2019, was among the most important personalities who donated to the families of the victims of the bombing.
