Maharashtra Sena President Raj Thackeray then organized a mega wedding reception on Sunday night at a five-star hotel in Lower Parel, Mumbai. The list of guests at the reception included several high-level guests, from Bollywood celebrities to politicians.
Early entries include Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan and Jeetendra. Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Amir Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Urmila Matondkar, the cast of actors Sachin and Supriya Pilgaokar, among others, were also present at the reception.

Among the participants in the political spectrum were the former minister from inside the Union, Sushilkumar Shinde, his daughter Praniti Shinde and his deputy minister Chhagan. The couple wore traditional Maharashtrian clothes for the wedding ceremony on Sunday morning, following a grand reception the evening for which Amit Thackeray had chosen a tuxedo, while Mitali Borude wore a red and pink lehenga.
