Deepika Padukone and Amrita Rao, Bollywood actress, share more than a common director, Farah Khan, who had them at Om Shanti Om and Main Hoon Na respectively. Apparently, we learned that the two men were related to each other.
This is not the first time that Bollywood actors have discovered that they are linked by family ties. In this case however, both women were spotted at a wedding in Mumbai with their respective husbands. While Deepika and Ranveer Singh stole the show, an article in India Today reveals that the marriage was between DP's brother-in-law and Amrita's sister. This links the two actresses.
In the cinema, Deepika's upcoming film, Chhapaak, directed by Meghna Gulzar, will also mark her debut as a producer. The biographical drama is based on the real life of Laxmi Agarwal, a survivor of acid attacks, as well as Vikrant Mbadey. The first program of the film was shot in Delhi and was recently completed.
Amrita, for his part, recently returned to the big screen with the film Thackeray based on the late Shiv Sena ruler Balasaheb Thackeray.
