Update from WhatsApp: the giant WhatsApp instant messaging could soon add new features to its group call and voice mail features. The company is likely to add a new group call shortcut in the iOS 2.18.110.17 beta update, reported wabetainfo.com. The feature has already been introduced in the iOS and will work the same way in Android, says the report. A user can start the group call directly by pressing the button once the update is available.
Another update is voicemail. The report from wabetainfo.com indicates that users will be able to read voicemails consecutively. WhatsApp will start playing all chat audio messages in a continuous series if it detects two or more voicemail messages. Currently, a user must play each message separately by pressing the play button. This update should be available via update 2.18.362.
Once the feature is deployed, a user must click on the first message and WhatsApp automatically reads all other consecutive voice messages as a sequence. report says. The application will also broadcast a short audio file to report at the end of the last message. This feature will probably be activated in the next beta update.
In another report, WhatsApp is working on a new feature for iOS devices that will allow users to view video previews from the notification bar. Currently, such notifications are displayed on the screen but a person can not read them. This feature was also spotted by WABetaInfo and would initially be available only to users of the beta version of iOS with WhatsApp version 2.18.102.5.
