Director Anurag Kashyap attended Sabyasachi's 20th anniversary celebration with his wife Kalki Koechlin and his daughter Aaliyah. Images of the trio have been shared online.
One can see Anurag wearing jeans, while Kalki and Aaliyah are wearing dresses. Kalki also shared a party Boomerang, in which she poses with Aaliyah, on her Instagram stories.
Aaliyah is the daughter of Anurag, born from her first marriage, with director Aarti Bajaj, with whom he was married from 2003 to 2009. The filmmaker has been linked with Kalki 2011 , but the couple divorced in 2015 after announcing his separation in 2013.
Anurag directed Kalki in such films as Dev D and That Girl in Yellow Boots. The ex-couple appeared together in a recent series of web interviews and discussed their relationship. They were also seen together at the premiere of Anurag's recent film, Manmarziyaan.
Speaking at an event, Kalki said that the "biggest problem" with marriage, especially for a woman, is the idea of "ownership". She continued, "Once I got married, I was only invited to the things for which Anurag was invited. People would say, "Call Anurag's wife." They would not say "call Kalki" or "call Kalki's husband".
After the divorce, Kalki said, "I ended up alone after a long time. I had to fill this empty space in one way or another. I did not want to fill it by becoming crazy and drunk, or by surrounding people. I chose the introverted version to fill me up by spending more time at home, with the family … I am happy to have lived this trip. "
