"The recent conversation I had with me on the stage with my dad went around, even though I did not get it. I was not expecting such an overwhelming response, but there were some comments that said my father imposed it and that he had double standards.
To say that the garment I wear or the choice I make in my life has nothing to do with my parents.Veil was my personal choice with complete acceptance and honor.
I am a mature and healthy adult who knows to make my choices In the life of every human being has the choice to wear or do what he / she wants and that is what I do.Therefore, do not ask yourself to make your own judgment without understanding the exact situation #freedomofchoice [sic] "
Shortly after the sharing of the post by Khatija, Rahma Elle expressed her support and by taged on Twitter a beautiful picture of the family with Nita Ambani, using the hashtag "freedomofchoice".

Rahman was also present at the event held in Dharavi as an ode to Slumdog Millionaire with his family.
