Aryan son of Shah Rukh Khan as Simba of the lion king? Nepotism, says Twitter

[ad_1]

New Delhi:

Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan were chosen to play Mufasa and Simba in the Hindi dubbing of the next live version of Disney The Lion King and Twitter raises the veil on the N-word. Simba is the central figure of The Lion King as evidenced by the actor-rapper-producer-screenwriter and icon-in-waiting Donald Glover who makes it heard in the film (James Earl Jones takes over his role in as Mufasa, Simba's father who dies early in the film but remains a guiding force in the life of his troubled son). And Aryan Khan, better known as SRK's son, plays him in the Hindi dub.

In 2004, Aryan, then seven years old, is nicknamed Dash in The Incredibles – Shah Rukh Khan voiced Mr. Incredible – and it's pretty much his only experience at that day, till now, with the exception of a scene in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in which he appears as the child version of his father's character. These references or their absence are more than enough to convince Twitter that the fact that Aryan embodies the lead role of a remake of a beloved clbadic is due to the blessing sin of Bollywood – nepotism.

rule in Bollywood.
I hope the good days reign there. #TheLionKing

When even Disney knows that Bharat mein #TheLionKing jaisi script fort bechne ke iye bhi nepotism ka sahara lena padega. Yes, we deserve it.
Moreover, no problem for Aryan who wants to make two films, but putting TLK back on a plateau in its infancy is the reason for being nepotism. https://t.co/xeLiN8DOXH[19459007unset-LakshyaMittal(@LakshyaMittal2) June 17, 2019

Twitter offers several alternative suggestions for the Hindi voice of Simba – Ranbir Kapoor is the first choice. Also, sorry Shah Rukh Khan, but the Internet seems to prefer Amitabh Bachchan to Mufasa. And could we get Rishi Kapoor as Pumbaa please?

However, that is The Lion King that we get and Twitter also has some ideas about the personalized wisdom that Mufasa will give to his Simba:

Mufasa: Baden Shehromai Bade Esi Choti Choti baatein hoti rahtehai,
Simba …

Simba: Yes, I Had

I Wait #TheLionKing

Indian stars seem only too happy to dub for Hollywood, from Ranveer Singh to Deadpool in Varun Dhawan to Captain America: Civil War . In 2016, Disney won gold with an all-star voice for the Hindi version of The Jungle Book – Om Puri and Irrfan Khan voiced Bagheera and Baloo and Priyanka Chopra dubbed for Kaa .

The Lion King released July 19, is directed by Jon Favreau who also directed The Book of the Jungle . James Earl Jones is the only member of the original cast to come back. Chiwetel Ejiofor succeeds Jeremy Irons while the infamous Scar, Beyonce, Seth Rogen and John Oliver are Nala, Pumbaa and Zazu and the elders of the Black Panther, John Kani and Florence Kasumba, under the name of Rafiki and the & Raf Raf. one of the hyenas.
