As soon as Kalank Teaser fell, Hilaryous Memes seized the Internet

The teaser of the long-awaited saga of Karan Johar Kalank featuring a cast of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha, was dropped Tuesday.

Larger than life characters, the great scenery and minimalist narration at the Sanjay-Leela-Bhansali convinced moviegoers. Although there is not much to tell from the teaser, "Kuch rishte karz ki tarah host hain hain Kuch karz karz karz kah nahi chukana padta hai" from Varun and dialogues "Humse zyaada barbaad In particular, Alia has captured a lot of attention on social media, inspiring and hilarious memes. The two minute clip presents the entire cast of the film in a 1940s set up. Sanjay plays the role of Baldev Chaudhry, an aging patriarch.

With references to Dussehra and a glimpse of a rural environment, the teaser recalls that of Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who had similar patterns and nuances. The colors, atmosphere and presentation of Kalank are grandiose, which has been badociated so far with a film of Bhansali.

Kalank will mark the return of Sanjay and Madhuri together for the first time in 21 years. The film will also feature for the fourth time the hits of Varun and Alia (Student of the Year, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania). Kalank will be released on April 17th.
