Avengers: Endgame is the 3rd day after Baahubali: The Conclusion and 2.0
The recently released Hollywood Marvel movie, ] observed a mbadive beginning with an impressive crore collection of 52.8 Rs, becoming the biggest blockbuster Hollywood hit in India. The buzz around the film was extremely strong and resulted in a record booking of the international box office film.
If you compare the gains of the first day of the other films in India, Avengers: Endgame is in third position. The biggest single-day success at the Indian box office is the release in 2017 of Baahubali: The Conclusion which raised 120 crore Rs. Last year's release, Rajinikanth- starrer 2.0 is in second place with his crore collection of 60 rupees on the first day. The film that is held after the recent film Marvel is Baahubali: The Beginning with the collection of Rs 51 crore the first day.
What is interesting is that of these four films, three are: regional films and one is a Hollywood film (all published in several languages). There is not a single film in Hindi that has crossed the crore of 50 rupees on the first day. Hindi films were known to have the highest consumption in India, but after the success of these films, it seems that language and cultural sensitivities are no longer an obstacle for the public. The content is indeed the king!
