A total of three video clips of the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, Avengers: Endgame, has been dropped on the Web. The official trailer of March 14. But Thanos did not even get a head shot, let alone a line of two. This resulted in several theories of fans on Reddit and other social media platforms, claiming that Thanos may not have been a significant character in the movie.
A theory suggests that Thanos might even die in the first act of the film. He claims that Thor and Captain Marvel will travel to the place where Thanos worked in agriculture. They take it out and also take the Infinity Gauntlet, only to realize that it can not undo the effects of the breaking of Thanos. The Reddit user based his theory on the fact that the Russo brothers (directors of Avengers: Endgame) had declared in their director's comment: Infinity War that Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet were badly damaged.
The theory therefore explores the possibility that a week, Thanos, without his glove, is not difficult to beat for Captain Marvel and Thor. But once they realize that the effects of his snapshot can not be undone, the movie's plot resumes its course while the Avengers now have to look for a new way to cancel the snapshot.
It is at this point that Scott Lang aka Ant-Man comes into play as it could be one that suggests the way to use the quantum realm and time travel. In the latest Avengers: Endgame trailer, we see the Avengers coming out of their headquarters with Quantum Realm armor, led by Captain America.
Thus, although the theory may seem absurd, but for purposes of debate, if we take it for granted, it makes sense and aligns well with all the images of the final phase that we have seen so far. The last trailer announces that the Avengers may have to go back in time and reset everything. This may be the only way to undo the cliché.
So, maybe Thanos dies in the first act of the film and the remaining film is entirely devoted to the Avengers quest to undo the effects of the cliché and bring it back half of the universe that has been decimated. What do you think of this theory? Does this seem completely absurd to you or do you think it has merit?
