Avengers: Endgame to Captain Marvel: Journal of a Fangirl MCU

[ad_1]

For years, I covered reports on the UCM hoping that someday I would sit in front of the cast and interrogate them. In February 2019, I received the call. Captain Marvel's press release in Singapore

It was just another day in 2012 when I came across the trailer for The Avengers. Having no prior knowledge of Marvel Comics and the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), I went to the movies and a few hours later, a fan was born! Finally, after a few years, I watched all the movies in a week and then, a real fangirl was born! You can see a MCU fan one kilometer away – crying like a baby when the opening credits start, patiently waiting for the ending credits and all the Indian fans, playing the game by showing the members of the Indian crew in the closing credits (Anything!)

Call it luck or an unmistakable fate: I ended up being an entertainment journalist who loved Hollywood just as much as she breathed Bollywood. For years, I covered reports on the MCU hoping that someday I would sit in front of the cast to interview them. In February 2019, I received the call. A press release for Captain Marvel in Singapore. Brie Larson, an interview with Carol Danvers herself, I would also meet face to face with Samuel L. Jackson. After a superb press conference, it was time to move on to interviews and the nerves throbbed. First of all, I had to deal with the big gun – Nick Fury. While I was talking to the cameraman to adjust the lens because I was small, Samuel looked at me and said, "No, you're not." It was all the validation I needed short jokes! The way he talked about Stan after his death is still stuck in my fan-spirit. When the time of the interview rang, Brie spoke fondly of her stay in India and all that she loved there. With these two actors, I immediately felt a level of comfort that was not what I expected. I may not have the selfie, but my dream of interviewing them came true.

Then, in April, next call, video interview with Mr. Joe Russo, a half of Avengers' director duo: Endgame, The Russo Brothers (with Anthony Russo). And in which country? INDIA! Without giving up spoilers, it's the pbadion with which Joe spoke about the MCU that touched me. In addition, at the end of the interview, he said: "Good questions". I have been sold.

Avengers: Event Event Endgame in Seoul. https://t.co/0vj0MqGGgG

Life began and the endgame wait began. The call was at midnight. It was happening! Avengers: End of baby party! A press briefing in Seoul, South Korea, attended by Brie Larson, Jeremy Renner, Kevin Feige and The Russo Brothers. Oh! Did I forget to mention? ROBERT DOWNEY JR.?! So, with the spirit of a reporter specializing in entertainment, but the heart of a fangirl MCU, I entered Seoul with big dreams.

Sitting in front of an OG 6 Avenger was on my wish list. And it has become reality. Hawkeye himself, Mr. Jeremy Renner, was sitting in front of me. Inside, I had one thing in mind – see the matching tattoo OG 6. He smiled as he remembered the day the cast was tattooed and how their ten-year friendship meant the world to their eyes. The fangirl in me screamed with joy in me because who would have thought, years later, it would happen!

The highlight of this trip was for me when I was waiting for Jeremy's interview and Brie Larson escaped me. A feeling of memory crossed her face and she walked over to me saying, "Hi, how are you?" My life was made.

This only improved when I literally breathed the same air as Iron Man. Is there anything that man can not do? From his epic entry to his legendary quips, this man knows how to win hearts and work a crowd. Whether for the press conference or the mega event, seeing it was a treat in itself

The event for the fans in Seoul, which took place in a covered stadium, welcomed 4000 fans , including myself. A moment was created where all fans of the Avengers glow sticks thanked the Avengers team. Brie was in tears, but Mr. Downey made a surprise on his return. He was upset by the actor. Have I cried? I will not confirm or deny that! The boundaries were blurred between an entertainment journalist and an MCU fangirl that day.

In conclusion, during the event, the four trailers of the Avengers were presented. Seeing the Avengers' first trailer and watching Iron Man get saved by The Hulk, I felt the same feeling of goosebumps that I felt in 2012. Oh, how life goes around in circles, effect! Never has a franchise like MCU been successful with a decade of success in making 21 larger-than-life movies, culminating being Endgame. They changed the narrative landscape and created a universe that almost resembles reality. Here are the superheroes.

Love,
MCU fangirl
