Avengers Endgame – What do the visions of Thor's Age of Ultron tell us?

The resounding success of Marvel Cinematic Universe can partly be explained by an incredible degree of organization on the part of Marvel Studios' president, Kevin Feige, and his team.

The disparate elements of 20 films (and that count) were badembled as a clock, most of the time, with pay wires for years all along the line. All this planning is well under way in Avengers: Endgame which promises to conclude not only phase 3 of Marvel, but also 11 years and 22 narration films.

The visions (not to be confused with The Vision) that our heroes experienced in 2015 Avengers: Age of Ultron are a common thread that still seems outstanding. While some may be just hallucinations, fans still can not help coming back to striking footage. Could any of them hold clues to the mysterious events of Endgame ?

The Vision of Iron Man

Under the effect of the powers of modification of the spirit of Scarlet Witch (what have they become?), The Avengers are given visions of their greatest fears or aspirations. For Tony Stark, his fear fails against Thanos – he sees his friends of the Avengers dead, and the extraterrestrial armies of the Chitauri approaching Earth unopposed.

Although it is not clear that what Wanda showed him was a vision of the future. This does not mean that it gives no clue as to what will happen next.

For example, we have already seen how the terror of Iron Man has affected his behavior in future movies. Predicting that Thanos would bring his attention back to Earth, Tony was eager to get ready. This fueled his erratic behavior, which led to the creation of Ultron and undoubtedly induces the Schism of the Avengers in Captain America: Civil War .

The complex of Tony's savior and his guilt towards those who died during the adventures of the Avengers led him to sign the Sokovia Accords, which put him in conflict with Cap and his colleagues dissidents.

But how could the vision have an impact on Endgame ? Interestingly, his original six Avengers teammates all survived the confrontation with Thanos in the War Against Infinity . As Robert Downey Jr. is expected to retire from the MCU after this film, it could be a noble sacrifice, in which he exchanges his life to avoid those deaths that he had planned there are years.

The visions of Thor

Thor had two visions in Age of Ultron – courtesy of Scarlet Witch, the other from an immersion in the magical "Eau de la view".

In the first, Thor sees himself in an evening in Asgard, where Heimdall declares that he is a "destroyer" before illuminating the body of the god of lightning, erasing various Asgardians. This is played in Thor: Ragnarok in which Asgard is sacrificed to destroy Hela – followed by the Thanos attack on the survivors.

He also sees a flash of Infinity Stones and Vision eyes (the Avenger, we mean this time!).

Indeed, Thor seems to think that Scarlet Witch's vision offered a glimpse into the future, which led him to look for Water in hopes of recovering more from what he saw.

He sees four Infinity Stones (Time and Soul not appearing in the MCU at this stage) and the outline of Thanos & # 39; Infinity Gauntlet, and hear Ultron warn of "extinction". It seems pretty clear now that it was a warning about Thanos using the Infinity Stones at the end of Infinity War . The new knowledge of Thor's stones leads him to leave the Avengers and to travel the universe in search of magical marbles, ultimately unsuccessful.

"I had a vision," said Thor later in Age of Ultron . ]. "It's a whirlpool that engulfs all hope of life and is in the center of it," and he points the mental stone at the forehead of Vision that has just been born.

Although Thor hopes Vision can reverse the power of stone. Thanos finally uses it to erase half of the life in the universe. His presentiment that the mental stone is at the center of this joyous "whirlwind engulfing all hope of life" indicates that the stones of infinity are ultimately forces of destruction and can not be used to cancel the actions of Thanos?

Thor's visions clearly warn about the threat of stones, but is this threat removed or will the survivors of Infinity Snap still be threatened by their power?
