Here are our most colorful theories.
By Joshua Yehl
The new Avengers: Endgame trailer has left us shaken, but we have come together and are working hard to obsessively badyze each image. One element that stands out – apart from the team pieced together and parading in new costumes – is the deliberate use of red color during its back-and-forth scenes in black and white. We also saw this used when opening the television spot Super Bowl. But what does all this mean? Let's go over some theories!
If you need it, you can check out the trailer below:
and browse this gallery of slide shows for a better overview of the scenes in question.

The Marvel logo is in red and c & # 39; is the color of the brand, so it makes sense to support it Celebrating 10 years of the wonder of Cinematic Universe, they have changed the Marvel Studios logo by cleverly adding a red "10". to simply focus on the Marvel brand and use that touch of red in flashbacks to remind us that we have come a long way through the Marvel universe.
Or … a big chance! This is Marvel, after all!
Red = Death
Now, it seems to me a little m
Red is the color of the blood, and even if it is not. there was not much – Real human blood thing poured into Infinity War – it's a PG-13 franchise, after all – Infinity War was basically Marvel's Red Wedding.
In the Super Bowl trailer, we have a quick black-and-white flashback of all the dead characters when Thanos made them fall into dust. It was the first time we saw these red highlights. And although the new trailer also uses this coloring with a similar effect to show the deaths of Falcon, Black Panther and Scarlet Witch, it is also used on three very important characters still alive: Iron Man, Captain America and Thor. [19659005] Uh oh. You do not think … would Marvel so blatantly tease the death of the Big Three in a trailer? Certainly not!
And yet, thanks to various reports, we know that Chris Evans will probably end up playing Cape Town when his contract expires with Endgame. The same has been said for Robert Downey Jr. And although Chris Hemsworth has stated that the new version of Thor at Ragnarok has revived his interest in continuing to play the character, we all know that he could also leave the MCU . In a very real sense, Endgame could be the last race of the three characters. This trailer could tell us that these three characters will give their blood, their very lives to restore the universe and defeat Thanos.
It should also be noted that in addition to these three characters, Okoye was shown in red. Although she did not have a dedicated flashback like they did, we think she was shown just because she was there when Black Panther was sprinkled. But who knows, she may be falling too!
The New Avengers Costumes
The end of the trailer shows the Avengers wearing brand new outfits. It may not be a coincidence that these costumes are as white, black and red, is not it?
Maybe flashbacks and costumes connect the main themes of the film. These themes could very well be the memory of those who have been lost, the desire for revenge, and the sacrifice it will take to save them.
Flashbacks show us the past, and the current theory is that these new thorny combinations allow heroes to travel in time via the quantum realm, in a very concrete way, these colors can represent their quest to repair the past in order to save the future.
The Stone of Reality
The reality stone that changes the reality aka Aether is red, so maybe the trailer hints that Snappening was not real and that all deaths are not permanent. What if they are just an illusion maintained by the Reality Stone, to which the other Infinity Stones gave a mega-boost? Heck, and if nothing of what we saw in this trailer is real ?! As we see in Infinity War, once Thanos stopped using the reality stone, the reality goes back to what it was, so Endgame may resolve the effect of the reality stone on the universe.
They're all dead
Now that we've eliminated the obvious, let's go crazy.
Maybe what we saw in Infinity War was not what it looked like. Perhaps the survivors of the Decimation were the victims and we follow their adventures in the afterlife. Maybe Marvel draws a sixth sense and at the end of Endgame we discover that they are dead all the time!
Using Red Worked Before
In addition to Marvel, Disney also has a small franchise called Star Wars, and not The Last Jedi's logo was only red, but in the run-up to the movie, a series of posters have been published highlighting key elements in the same color. This movie grossed $ 1.3 billion, so maybe Disney decided, hey, it worked once, he could just as well redo it!
Check out the posters below.
The Red Hulk Cometh [19659012] Everyone knows the Green Hulk, but fans of comics are hooked on the Red Hulk. He made his comic debut by pioneering himself among Marvel's most powerful characters – he even hit the Watcher in the face just because he could – so what better time for him to do his entry only in Avengers: Endgame? [19659005] In comics, General Ross is the Red Hulk, but that's not what they're going to do in the movie.
Understand this: the reason why all the dead characters are highlighted in red is due to their scattered energy in the universe. So now, the three live characters highlighted in red will exploit this energy. That's right: Captain America, Thor and Iron Man will call everyone's power Thanos killed to save the day.
But that does not stop there. The energy has the unexpected side effect of merging the trio, combining the courage of Cape, the divine constitution of Thor, and the spirit of Tony into one unbearably beautiful being who still knows how to break the tension with a well done joke, fused by their rage. hate for Thanos! Two characters in a superhero have worked for Venom, so we have THREE in this Red Hulk MCU. Thanos will not have a chance.
Or yes, maybe red means nothing. We will have to wait until April 26 to find out.
