Ayushmann Khurrana, Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta, members of Badhaai Ho's cast, will be featured in the sequel to the 2017 hit, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. The sequel is titled Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan.
According to a source quoted by Pinkvilla, "Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao, who starred in Badhaai Ho, will be reunited for Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan. Their chemistry and comic timing in Badhaai Ho have made it a well-known name and the manufacturers want to reproduce the same magic in the sequel to Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan. Ayushmann also shares a warm camaraderie with the duo. The authors are not yet focused on the second actor in the film, alongside Ayushmann. "

Directed by Hitesh Kewalya, the upcoming movie is an independent sequel to Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. The film is produced by Aanand L Rai. While the first film dealt with erectile dysfunction, the sequel would be a gay love story. Actor Rajkummar Rao recently denied rumors that he was projected alongside Ayushmann.
Ayushmann has been a resounding success with films like AndhaDhun, Badhaai Ho and more recently, Article 15. He spoke of Shubh Mangal 2 in a statement, "This is a beautiful story told in the style of film by excellence of Aanand L Rai that will touch your heart and leave you a smile.
