Badla is co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan and Red Chillies Entertainment by his wife Gauri Khan with Azure Entertainment. After the tweet exchange with Amitabh Bachchan, SRK is left to go to an extra word game in another tweet.

Badla is an official remake in Hindi of the Spanish film, of the guest invisible . It is presented as a revenge thriller shot in several places, including Mumbai and Scotland.

This is the second collaboration between Taapsee and Amitabh Bachchan after the drama of the audience of 2016 Pink which is redone by Boney Kapoor in the south with Vidya Balan and Tamil superstar Ajith.
Bachchan will also be featured in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra science-fiction film alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Akkineni Nagarjuna, scheduled for release this Christmas. On the other hand, Taapsee recently completed his next film Mangal Mission which also features Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha and Nithya Menen.
