DHAKA: Bangladesh will unveil a new test site in the northern city of Sylhet, where it will host Zimbabwe later this year, the Bangladesh Cricket Council said on Sunday.

The scenic terrain has hosted seven Twenty20 internationals but no test or international matches of a day.

Bangladesh and Zimbabwe will play the first of two tests at Sylhet from November 3-7. The second test will take place in Dhaka from 11 to 15 November. Visitors will also play three international one – day events.

The Zimbabwe tour was advanced from January 2019 to avoid any potential conflict with the national elections to be held in Bangladesh at the end of the year.

Bangladesh also announced that the West Indies would arrive on November 15 for their first full tour in the country since 2012.
