The actor Emraan Hashmi is about to make his digital debut with the Netflix series, Bard of Blood, and shared the first motion poster and the release date of the show. Co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan, the series is based on the book of the same name by pioneering author Bilal Siddiqi and will explore global terrorism.
In addition to Emraan, actors include Amyra Dastur, Shashank Arora, Kirti Kulhari, Sobhita Dhulipala, Vineet Kumar Singh, Jaideep Ahlawat, Suhail Nayyar, Danish Hussain, Amit Bimrot, Akshat Roppah and Ajay
There would be eight episodes that would retrace the course of an expelled spy, Kabir Anand, reminded of his new life as a Shakespeare teacher in Panchgani to save his country and his long lost love. A combination of fighting skills, intellectual knowledge and personal circumstances is driving Kabir to avenge the past and face his deadliest enemies in a race against time. In the context of the Indian subcontinent, the multilingual series will feature "complex and highly stylized action sequences never seen before on screen in India," according to a statement.
Emraan and Bilal had previously shared footage of the sets in the series at Leh. Emraan had subtitled the post on Instagram, "What the HILL !!! #leh #BardOfBlood. "

Shah Rukh shared a taste Special and exclusive Bard of Blood in a recorded message at the event See What's Next organized by Netflix in Singapore last year. The short film presented at the event evoked an old spy story that hinted at the character of Emraan and a soundtrack inspired by Mission: Impossible. He is seen under cover in what appears to be a secret mission in the mountains of Baluchistan and grappling with red tape.
