The following are highlights of Becky Lynch's interview with Chuck Carol for the CBS Local Los Angeles, California, provided to the author by PWTorch. She spoke of the chaotic program she has followed since WrestleMania as a Dueling Champion, as well as Ronda Rousey, and if it is likely that a revenge will be set against them and to whom she would like to face the upcoming WrestleMania of next year. Becky does not hesitate to keep taking a few strokes, even with Ronda now on WWE break.
Q: There was a lot of reasons for Ronda Rousey to be at WWE last year. What kind of lasting impact do you think it will have, not only on the women's division, but on the WWE as a whole?
R: Ronda Rousey is a great and natural athlete. She was born tough, and born tough is not the same thing she is made tough. I think I saw the best of Ronda Rousey. But we have also seen what happens when it is defeated. She leaves and we have not seen her since …
Q: What are your expectations on her return?
A: I do not know. We saw what happens when Ronda Rousey gets beaten. She throws a little whistling fit and she's going to hide under her blanket for a while, but she's a great athlete. She is the most wicked woman on the planet, but I beat her.
Q: Would you like revenge at the next WrestleMania, or who else would you like to face?
A: If Ronda Rousey is ready to come back to try to prove herself, I'll take her absolutely. If not, there are many other women here who are ready, willing, day in and day out, that I would like to fight.
Q: What you do here, being "Becky Two Belts," resonates beyond the WWE world. What does Becky Lynch's character say to women trying to climb the corporate ladder, get a PhD or even go to the boss and ask for a pay raise? What kind of force do they get from Becky Lynch?
A: It's just that there is nothing we can not get now, right? We are in a period where we are on an equal footing. We still have to fight a little here and there, but everything is possible. No one can tell us anymore that you can not do it because you are the type, or you are that race, or you are what you want, that you have that age, it does not matter. We are in the most opportunistic period on the planet. It is simply a matter of grasping what you want and pursuing it, without opposing an answer. Listen, at the end of the day, someone says no, they say no, but at least you go out trying, you know? You do not ask, you do not understand. If you fail, well, you only have one failure to succeed, you know?
In the full interview, we also discuss the differences between Raw and SmackDown, how she is preparing herself differently to face Lacey Evans and Charlotte Flair. why she excelled in promotions, and the impact of her dual champion role on women's equality outside the WWE.
