Bollywood and the entire nation were shocked when it was revealed last year that Sridevi had died in Dubai as a result of an accidental drowning. The suddenness of death has made family management even more difficult, especially the two daughters of Bollywood star Janhvi and Khushi and her husband Boney Kapoor. Just days before his death, Sridevi traveled to Ras al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, with his family to attend Mohit Marwah's wedding. After the wedding, the actress had decided to stay a few days in Dubai. But on February 24, it was learned that Sridevi was found dead in her bathtub after an accidental drowning.
As soon as the news of his death was made public, friends and family turned to the family for their condolences. Social media also buzzed with messages, as fans could not believe their favorite actress had left them.
Sridevi's funeral was held in Mumbai on February 28 and the actress was cremated with state honors. Almost all the film industry attended the last sacraments to pay tribute. On March 3, Boney Kapoor, Jhanvi and Khushi plunged the ashes of Sridevi into the sea off the coast of Rameshwaram.
