I attended Tuesday night the recording of the finale of the series Big Bang Theory and I was treated to a lousy NDA! Well, that's not quite true. Although I signed my signature to an absolute non-disclosure agreement, the fine print of the contract allows me to share behind-the-scenes observations and very vague, spoiler-free comments. Let's go then.
1. The first half of the one hour finale was shot last week. The studio audience screened it before attending the live recording of the second half. From the point of view of this long-time fan, this gigantic farewell was an immensely satisfying start, always hilarious and sometimes very refreshing.
2. A few seconds before the cameras turn on the very first scene, a powerful burst of laughter breaks out of the camera field of the producers and the team, pushing Jim Parsons to a deadly stalemate, "The series is here."
3. The studio audience sounds when [ IDENTITY OF SURPRISE CAMEO REDACTED ] appears in the flesh. Full Disclosure: One of them really came from you.
4. Many long – standing stories have been paid in a way that is both organic and surprising.
5. Johnny Galecki was so moved after the first presentations that the make-up artists in the series had to frantically erase the emotional debris from his face before the cameras fell to cold water.
6. Big Bang The co-creator Chuck Lorre, battling tears, hit the clapboard and shouted at the action on the final stage of the evening (but not on the final scene of the # 39, episode pre-recorded). Speaking of the closing tag of the episode …
7. … It was the only part of the final held by the studio audience. Hmm …
