In recent weeks, YouTuber PewDiePie and the Indian music label T-Series have exceeded every two hours pretty much like cars racing Formula 1. Now, it seems that the music label has finally managed to take a significant lead over the Swedish content creator and claim the most-watched channel title on YouTube .

At the time of writing, T-Series (91,778,805) was the leader of PewDiePie (91,707,188) with nearly 72,000 subscribers. This is the first time that Indian music takes over after the start of the battle for the supremacy of YouTube in the middle of last year. This is the result of a nationalist campaign launched by the music label a few weeks ago, with the support of Bollywood stars and musicians.

Following the video, several folk musicians of Bollywood and – who have millions of followers on social media – have supported the campaign to increase the number of subscribers for the T-Series YouTube channel. This played a big role in the company's desire to become the best dog on YouTube.

Over the past two months, PewDiePie fans have stopped promoting their channels in various ways – the popular YouTubers buying billboards in their city, hackers on printers, and making ransomware – to spread the message "Subscribe to PewDiePie"

At one point, fans of PewDiePie abused Indians; To extinguish the fire, YouTuber organized a GoFundMe campaign to donate to an Indian NGO. Notably, the shooter of the terrorist attack against a mosque in New Zealand asked viewers to subscribe to PewDiePie in his live stream. After these incidents, the YouTube community seems to want to try to pbad the "Subscribe to PewDiePie" saga.

In the meantime, the race continues. We'll have to wait to see if the T series can defend its lead, or if PewDiePie fans still have stunts to bring the creator back to the top spot.
